This is how it is built rather than something we promise. The matching runs inside your browser: the picture is read, compared against 26,072 stones, and discarded. It is never uploaded, never stored, and there is no address it could be sent to — which is also why the first search has 111MB to download. After that it is cached and searching is instant.
What it can and cannot tell you
It finds stones that resemble your photograph. It does not identify one, and we would rather say so than guess: measured against a clean holdout, the leading match is the right stone about one time in thirteen. That makes it a good way to find four slabs worth looking at and a bad way to settle an argument about what something is. Bring the photograph in and we will stand the slabs next to it.
It searches the yard, not the range
Only stock we hold. Every one of the 26,072 stones here is a slab in Las Vegas — the curated range has no photographs indexed this way, so it is not in these results. Browse the range separately.
